Hope you’re having a great day. Even though it’s a rainy one on my end, I can’t help but be happy and excited.

You see I’m going on a little vacation to Miami this weekend. I’ll be enjoying a few days off with a couple of friends.

Grinding nonstop to finish The Flight System has got me feeling run down.

And you know what they say, Recovery is Key.

Now, let’s get to the reason why you opened this email. Today I wanted to show you number six of my Top 10 Vertical Jump Drills.

#6 Kettlebell Spike

This is an awesome exercise that I started implementing a lot more of a few years back.

It’s a dynamic hip extension movement that adds resistance.

The kettlebell swing is a great exercise all on its own but when you add the spike element to it it forces the athlete to control the eccentric portion of the movement that aids in the development in the stretch reflex and stretch shortening cycle.

Which basically means if you improve the stretch reflex and stretch shortening cycle you produce more power output.

If you produce more power output, you produce more force against the ground, which will propel you in the air higher.

Damn, this vertical jump stuff is exciting!
