Sorry, I haven’t been posting new videos regularly. I’ve been head first in Vertical getting everything I need done to launch this month.

For today, I wanted to show you guys an old video I made a few years back explaining how a simple program should be laid out for vertical gains.

You basically want to structure your training around these methods:

Speed Movements:

You want to start your training with a bodyweight movement where you can fire your posterior chain. My favorite being box jumps.

Perform around 8 sets of 2 jumps for an example. There are a lot of different variations when it comes to speed movements. Some being better than other, just pick your favorite and start jumping.

Power Movements:

This method is designed to produce high amounts of power output. We want to combine the speed and strength aspect of a movement and marry them.

So anything like a hang clean or med ball toss. You basically want to take the load and drive it through hip extension as powerfully as possible.

Absolute Strength:

This method is really going to tax your central nervous system and develop that strength we need to produce force against the ground.

I prefer the box squat, but any variation of the squat will do the trick.

This was the old method of programming I used when I was first learning how to produce the inches I so desperately wanted.

It’s been almost 3 years since I made that video.

That’s 1,095 days of new knowledge and testing that I’ve gone through with so many athletes.

During that time, I discovered a 3 phase approach to training that will sky rocket your vertical jump.

I don’t want to tell you what the 3 phases are just yet.

That’ll be in the new video series that I’ll be releasing soon. It’s called “The Vertical Jump Secrets”.

The series will lead up to the release of my highly anticipated program. It’s been a couple of years since I first mentioned this program to you guys.

And it’s taken me that long to perfect the program. When I tell you guys that I ran this program with over 100 athletes it’s no joke.

I wanted to test this program out on all different types of athletes to see how each one will react to the training.

After all these years I’m finally satisfied with the results my athletes have been getting.
